LASALLE – The city of LaSalle will handle demolition work on a building that partially collapsed on 1st street in LaSalle. Per a court order filed on Monday, the city of LaSalle and the owner of the 1001 1st Street Building have agreed to authorize the city to finish clean-up efforts at the site. The owner has also agreed to compensate the city for the demolition. The order was signed by Judge Troy Holland and the matter is set for a status hearing in September.
