STREATOR – Another incident where a person claimed to be struck by BB gun-type ammunition was reported in Streator. On Sunday, reports began regarding incidents where residents were purportedly shot in the body while out for a bike ride. According to the Streator Police Department, in the latest report, two people reported that while walking in the area of South Everett and Wilson Street they were allegedly struck in the body by BB gun-type ammo. The individuals reported the shots coming from a vehicle, as did the previous reports. Minor injuries were reported and the incident is under investigation. Sergeant Troy Dodge says Streator police believe the incidents are linked to the same perpetrator/perpetrators.
