Guns seized after shots fire investigation in Spring Valley

SPRING VALLEY -Two weapons were seized after a call Tuesday morning for shots allegedly being fired in Spring Valley, but no injuries were reported. Authorities say around 4 AM they were called to the intersection of Dakota Street and Hennessey Street and after an investigation detained 34-year-old Quincy L. McCoy of Bolingrook. The Spring Valley Police say they discovered a loaded firearm allegedly in his possession and another inside his vehicle. McCoy was taken to the Bureau County Jail awaiting a bond hearing on a preliminary charge of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Officers noted that bullet casings and a bullet were reportedly recovered in the area.
