PRINCETON – You may have been seeing more and more troopers along the interstate this last week, and that is because of a campaign by the Illinois State Police to combat distracted driving and enforce Scott’s Law. The mandatory move over law in the state requires motorists move over when encountering stopped or disabled vehicles on the shoulder. The law was enacted in 2001 and named after a Chicago Firefighter who was killed at a crash scene on I-94.
