Peru Schools to make crisis teams available after crash kills two students

PERU – Crisis teams will be available for classmates at two Peru elementary schools after a Tuesday crash killed two students on I-80.   Superintendent Jamie Craven in an email to parents informed the district that Leanna Downey-Molina, a seventh grade student at Parkside Middle School, and Mason Molina, a third grade student at Northview Elementary School had passed away.  Counselors will be available on Friday from  10 AM to 12 PM in Parkside Middle School Gymnasium for all Peru Elementary students, families, and school personnel.  Additional Crisis Counselors will be present on Monday as well at both Northview Elementary and Parkside Middle School.
