MORRIS – The death of an Ottawa woman is being investigated in Grundy County after her body was discovered in a partially submerged vehicle. Authorities were called to Heidecke Lake on Saturday morning after hunters found the vehicle in the pre-dawn hours by the boat ramps. The 26-year-old was pronounced deceased at the scene and her identity is being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. The incident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, and the Grundy County Coroners Office.
