PRINCETON – Last week the Princeton Police Department received a cash donation towards the acquisition of a K-9.  The Bureau County Mounted Search and Rescue Team donated $2000 to help fund the purchase of a bloodhound.  Bloodhounds are used for tracking persons who are missing or have fled from police. Their ability to maintain a track, and distinguish one humans scent from another’s makes them very effective in locating people.
