OTTAWA – Coronavirus cases in LaSalle County have surged since the LaSalle County Health Department’s last weekly update on December 23rd. A total of 909 new cases are reported, up from around 500. The health department is reporting ten COVID-19 related deaths in the county. There are currently around 12% of ICU beds available in the region, which is below the 20% target set by the Illinois Department of Public Health.
