STREATOR – Streator’s ambulance service provider is asking the city for financial support. Officials for Advanced Medical Transport pitched their request to council members for contributions to maintain support to the greater Streator area. Vice President of finance Tim Beccue says AMT has experienced financial challenges with the increase in the minimum wage, cost of equipment, and medical technology. Advanced Medical Transport has served Streator since 2004 and partners with the Streator Fire Department. Mayor Tara Bedei says the city will review all its options before making a final decision.
