DEKALB – A DeKalb school district employee is facing charges of disorderly conduct and filing a false police report after allegedly claiming to have knowledge of threatening text messages. On February 2nd, DeKalb Police Department School Resource Officers responded to Tyler Elementary School for a claim that an employee received messages that threatened violence to the employee including a threat that the offender would come to the school and kill the employee. Due to the threatening nature of the text messages, the school was forced into a soft lockdown. Students and staff were escorted out of the building by officers. After an investigation, authorities say they learned that the telephone used to make the alleged threat belonged to the victim. 25-year-old Breanna Lee of Dekalb reportedly admitted to making a false report of the threats and sending the threatening text messages herself. She was charged with multiple felony counts of Disorderly Conduct, Filing a False Police Report and Obstructing Justice.
