OTTAWA – The Illinois 178/U.S. 6 intersection roundabout project in Utica will begin on Monday. All lanes will remain open and controlled by temporary traffic signals, according to the Illinois Department of Transportation. Traffic may be reduced to one lane controlled by flaggers when workers are present. Motorists can expect delays and be prepared for slow and stopped traffic. The $2.4 project is slated to be completed by fall.
