STREATOR – Four men are charged with controlled substance and firearm possessions after search warrants were made in Streator. According to the Tri-County Drug Enforcement Narcotics Team, on Wednesday, two search warrants were conducted, one in the 600 block of Monroe Street in Streator where agents discovered 8 grams of purported cocaine and 9 grams of purported heroin. Also located was a 9mm handgun and over 3,000 of alleged narcotics proceeds. Police say they apprehended 33-year-old Ulysses E. Reyes of Streator, 47-year-old Darrell E. Mosier, and 28-year-old James Z. Forbes, all of Streator. Agents also conducted a search warrant in the 800 block of North Jackson Street where two loaded handguns, one shotgun, firearm ammunition, purported cocaine, and over $4,000 in alleged narcotics proceeds were discovered. 29-year-old Deandre L. O’Neill of Streator was taken into custody also. Forbes, Mosier, and Reyes are charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. O’Neill is charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon. Bonds for the four men range from $750,000 to $2.5 million.
