STREATOR – A Streator man is asking the city council to change their rules on allowing livestock on residential property. He spoke to council members at a special meeting on Tuesday about changing their city ordinance so that he can have hens at his home on Bronson Street.
Currently, the ordinance allows for 3 hens or less, but the Streator man says he eventually wants to have more than that to produce eggs for himself.
