CHICAGO – The Moon and Mars will engage in a dance this evening across the sky across much of north America. The Moon will pass in front of the planet Mars starting around 9:09 PM until 10:06 PM CST. Mars will be bright in the sky, as it currently is at the point in its orbit where it is closest to Earth. This event occurs a number of times a year, but this will be a rare event during a full moon that is visible in much of the United States.
