Thief hands car keys to police, gets himself into bigger trouble

Recently a man in Georgia was caught by security at Wal-Mart “skip-scanning”.  Where you only scan some of the items in your cart.  The items he did not scan totaled up to approximately $165.  When the police showed up to arrest him, he asked if he could keep the items he did scan.  They told him they would put those items in the backseat of his car.  He handed over his keys and when they opened the trunk, they found all of the items that he paid for as well as those that he skip-scanned.  They also found 37 pounds of marijuana and a bag of Psilocybin mushrooms.
He is now facing charges for possession with the intent to distribute, trafficking, shoplifting, and possession of drug-related objects.
