Coming to work sick, 10 gripes about co-workers with colds


NEW YORK — Before you go into work not feeling well, take these gripes into consideration.  A recent study shows that of 2,000 adult employees by cough brand Bronchostop that three in four workers polled still feel an obligation to come to work when they have a cold.  However, 57 percent would rather the sick colleagues would just stay home.  38 percent make it a point to come to work to prove to colleagues and bosses that they are genuinely unwell.  42 percent fear that co-workers will see them as unreliable, 41 percent believe they will be leaving others in the lurch, and 34 percent feel like they have too much to do.  21 percent want to show how dedicated to their work they are and 18 percent don’t trust others to do their work properly.
