LASALLE- PERU — This weekend the Lady Cav’s traveled to Peoria to compete in the Decatur Sectional, placing third and advanced to the State Finals that will be held in Rockford this Friday and Saturday. The team was lead by Junior Olivia Weber with a 1249 series and a 243 high game. Olivia was closely followed by Junior Makenzie Hamilton with a 1216 series and a 244 high game. Olivia also achieved the second highest score for the tournament as well as Makenzie ended the day with the fourth highest score for the tournament.
Other highlights of the day were sophomore Sophomore Camryn Perra stepping in the for the game to provide the team with four great games to help the team seal the finish. Senior Christine Ricci also finished the day with a 185 average along with Sophomore Anna Ricci finishing the day with a 173 average. The Lady Cav’s will have a busy week this week with practice on Monday and Tuesday and the sendoff for state on Wednesday. Thursday morning with start the quest for a state championship with practice. Then the tournament will begin Friday morning.
