MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FL — A man in Miami broke into a home in December by cutting the lock on the fence and removing a window air conditioning unit. He allegedly stole a TV, seven horse saddles, and a gooseneck trailer. Wednesday he returned to the same home and this time tried to leave in a semi-tractor with a refrigerated trailer filled with approximately $140,000 worth of poultry. He took police on a high-speed chase the wrong way down a one-way road, while running one officer off the road in the process. He finally came to a stop after crashing through a motorized fence and a concrete wall. The second concrete wall that he attempted to go through stopped him in his tracks. He is being held on a bond of $54,500 with multiple charges of grand theft, burglary, and criminal mischief charges, as well as fleeing police and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
