Illinois State Police warn public of, “National Day of Hate”


SPRINGFIELD – The Illinois State Police is alerting the public to be vigilant over the next several days. Authorities say online domestic violent extremists are announcing February 25th as a, “National Day of Hate.” They say Neo-Nazi anti-Semite groups are encouraging hate actions for this weekend. ISP is urging heightened awareness and say if you see suspicious vehicles, circumstances or individuals, call 911 immediately. The Illinois Statewide Terrorism & Intelligence Center has been in communication with community organizations and will continue to monitor all intelligence platforms.
