MENDOTA – Residents of Mendota will be receiving information in the mail for a survey about the water lines they have on their property. In order to meet the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency requirements to identify all lead service water lines in the state by April 15th, 2024, Mendota asks all residents share the details in the next month. A link is available at the City of Mendota website where residents can let the EPA know what type of plumbing is on their property. Anyone with any questions about how to identify their service line materials can contact the city for assistance.
