STREATOR – Two individuals are charged in connection to a shooting in Streator on Thursday. According to the Streator Police Department, just after 5:00 p.m. authorities responded to the 600 block of East Kent Street and discovered a 27-year-old male with an apparent gunshot wound to his lower body. Police say the victim provided officers with information and as a result of the investigation, charges have been filed against 24-year-old Alex J. Brown for Aggravated Battery with a Firearm and 31-year-old Niesha S. Rodriguez for Obstruction of Justice. Both subjects were transported to the LaSalle County Jail. Authorities say there is no threat to the public.
