Friday Granville crash results in fatalities, multiple injuries

GRANVILLE – Multiple fatalities and injuries occurred after a two-vehicle crash in Granville Township on Friday. According to the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, just after 3 p.m., officers responded to a crash on IL Highway 89 and County Highway 850 N. Authorities say a vehicle driven by 48-year-old Branden A. Bowers of Hennepin was traveling Eastbound on C.H. 850 N and entered onto IL Hwy 89 and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by 26-year-old Latesha M Moore, of Peoria. Moore was transported via helicopter to Peoria and Bowers was pronounced dead at the scene. 45-year-old Sara K. Swiskoski of Mark was a passenger in Bower’s vehicle and was also transported to a Peoria hospital. 34-year-old Jabarra S, Woodson of Peoria was a passenger in Moore’s vehicle and was also transported via helicopter. An additional passenger of Moore’s vehicle, 37-year-old Jaylene A. Adams of Galesburg was pronounced dead at the scene. The conditions of the individuals transported via helicopter are unknown at this time. The accident remains under investigation by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, ISP Accident Reconstruction Team, and the Putnam County Death Investigator.
