Cross country: Bureau Valley boys win quad at home
The Storm took first with 45 points. Princeton and Kewanee both recorded team scores of 53, but Princeton’s sixth runner broke the second-place tie. Hall (72) placed fourth.

The Lions broke the game open early with four runs in the bottom of the first and three in the second to go up 7-3.

Shots fired in downtown Ottawa strike vehicles, no injuries
Ottawa police are investigating shots fired Tuesday evening near the city’s downtown courthouse. There were no injuries.

Houston road sign tampered with
A Houston Public Works road sign was recently tampered with. Someone broke into the box attached to the sign and changed the sign from stating useful information to “Due to weather . . . GO [EFF] YOURSELF.”
