DIXON – A woman was arrested for child endangerment after authorities say she allegedly had children sitting in an inflatable pool on the roof of her SUV to keep it from blowing off. Dixon police say that on Tuesday afternoon they were called about a report of a woman driving with children on the roof of a vehicle. Officers located an Audi SUV on Illinois Route 2 and took 49-year old Jennifer A. Janus Yeager into custody. Police say Yeager drove into Dixon to inflate the pool at a friends house and had her two daughters ride inside of the empty pool to hold it down on the drive home. She was taken to the Dixon police department where she later posted bond.
