PERU – The ice skating rink at Washington Park in Peru will be opening Friday afternoon. Red Flags will be hung up on days and times the rink is not suitable for skating. Officials are hoping to have the outdoor rink open all weekend for skating if conditions allow.

  OTTAWA – Coronavirus cases in LaSalle County have surged since the LaSalle County Health Department’s last weekly update on December 23rd. A total of 909 new cases are reported, up from around 500. The health department is reporting ten COVID-19 related deaths in the county.
