STREATOR – A warehouse caught fire Friday morning but the Streator Fire Department quickly extinguished the smoky blaze in around twenty minutes. Lt. Bryan Park said they were called after 6 AM to the Schultz Monument Company in the 100 block of South Shabbona Street, and when they arrived they found the front of the building heavily involved in fire. Streator and Grand Ridge Fire Departments were on scene, but no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental, and authorities estimated damages around $200,000.
