MENDOTA – The aging and crumbling track surface at the Mendota District 289 facility on Stroble Ave is getting rebuilt this summer. The project, funded in part by “Friends of the Track”, is seeking donations to help with the project. The former high school football field and track is now used by members of the community to walk or run, and also for Jr. High track events and Jr Football programs. During the reconstruction, the track will be closed to the public.
