LASALLE – LaSalle-Peru Township High School approved a Letter of Intent with Byrne and Jones Construction regarding the Howard Fellows Stadium Field of Dreams at Wednesday night’s Board of Education meeting. Superintendent Steve Wrobleski explained that the Letter of Intent would ensure the project would be cemented into the work schedule of Byrnes and Jones, in addition to locking in the price of the project. The Letter of Intent does require the high school to pay a $15,000 deposit for the engineering work, although the deposit does not have to be paid until May 2020. The board also confirmed the $900,450 artificial turf replacement project for the Field of Dreams that is contingent on raising at least half of the funds before the end of May of 2020.
