Over 1,800 new coronavirus cases announced by IDPH


SPRINGFIELD – 1,832 new cases of COVID-19 were reported by the Illinois Department of Public Health on Thursday, along with 27 additional deaths. Within the past 24 hours, laboratories have reported 51,612 test specimens, the most coronavirus tests processed since the start of the pandemic. Back in April, Gov. JB Pritzker stated that his goal was for the state to test 10,000 individuals a day. Illinois has surpassed the 10,000 test goal on April 24th, and every day since then.
