STREATOR – The suggestion to charge a fee for nonresident Streator Youth Baseball players will be pitched to board members this weekend. Earlier this week City Manager Dave Plyman shared his idea to council members on charging $20 dollars for the little league players who reside outside of city limits in order to start supporting the upkeep of the fields, water, and electricity bills.
Plyman says he’s flexible with all aspects of the idea and wants to create a discussion in the community on fairness. He’ll meet with the Streator Youth Baseball Board on Sunday.
