OTTAWA – Traffic changes will begin on Wednesday at the Illinois 178 and Route 6 intersection where roundabout construction is taking place. Weather permitting, the intersection will convert from a four-way stop to a temporary roundabout. All lanes will remain open but will yield to traffic prior to entering the roundabout. The Illinois Department of Transportation says the conversion is necessary as work shifts to constructing the center of the roundabout.
