145th Year of Fire Service Celebration * Amboy

On August 19th there will be a 145th year of fire service celebration in Amboy from 4 til 11pm
There will be:
2 person team bags tournament with entry free and cash prizes
butterbean boxing with a featured match – no charge
adult tricycle races – no charge
face painting for kids by Whimsy Pixie – no charge
fire truck rides and bouncy houses – no charge
TEACT Helicopter on display – no charge
touch a  truck – multiple emergency response vehicles on display – no charge
mechanical bull riding for adults only – no charge

tours of fire station and equipment
Starting at 5pm there will be:  Firefighter 3 person bucket brigade challenge (fire departments only) – FREE
Starting at 5:30pm:  freestyle arm wrestling tournament – must be pre-registered by August 10th – FREE
Starting at 6pm:  firedog eating contest – no charge – adult only
Starting at 6:45pm:  special boxing match – guest boxer “Spiff” vs “TBA” – no charge
Starting at 7pm:  Starlite Dance Academy performs
Startingat 7:45pm:  announcements and special award presentation
8pm to 11pm:  Music by Snap Shot – no charge  Silent Auction and Food and Beverage for an additional charge
