A simple noninvasive test that can help determine your risk for developing lung disease will be among the free health screenings offered at Illinois Valley Community Hospital’s Pulmonary Health Fair set for Wednesday, September 12, from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. in the IVCH room at Peru Mall.
The test, which measures lung capacity, is called a pulmonary function screening. Other tests that will be available at the fair at no charge include blood pressure checks and pulse oximetry, which measures the amount of oxygen in your blood.
Members of the IVCH pulmonary rehabilitation staff along with a hospital pharmacist and dietitian will also be available for consultations.
